We focus on honesty: we show you real gaps, tell you which ones are bridgeable and which ones aren't, and help you reframe your experience rather than fake it.
How Our Scoring Works
Our 3-layer scoring model mirrors what real ATS systems do:
Keyword Match (40%)
We compare your resume against the job description using exact matching plus a 500+ skill synonym map — with synonym awareness so React matches ReactJS, and ML matches Machine Learning.
Semantic Similarity (40%)
Claude Sonnet assesses whether your experience genuinely aligns with the role — beyond keywords. This catches cases where you have the right experience but the wrong words.
ATS Compliance (20%)
We check formatting, section headers, file structure, and other signals that affect how well an ATS can parse your resume at all.
Honest Gap Analysis
Not all gaps are equal. We classify each missing requirement into one of three categories:
BRIDGEABLE
You have adjacent experience — we show you exactly how to reframe it.
LEARNABLE
The connection is weak but you can mention it honestly alongside a plan to close the gap.
HARD GAP
Nothing in your background connects. We flag it honestly and suggest alternatives or next steps.
