ScoreMyResume ("we", "our", "us") is an AI-powered resume scoring service operated at www.scoremyresume.co. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our service.

2. Information We Collect

Resume and Job Description Data: When you use our scoring tool, you upload a resume and paste a job description. This content is processed by our AI pipeline to generate your score and analysis.

Email Address: We collect your email address when you request your full keyword report. We use this to send you your report and, with your consent, occasional product updates.

Payment Information: Payments are processed by Razorpay (India) and Stripe (Global). We do not store your credit card or payment details on our servers. Refer to Razorpay's Privacy Policy for their data practices.

Usage Data: We collect anonymized usage data (pages visited, features used, browser type) via Vercel Analytics to improve our service.

3. How We Use Your Data

• To process your resume and generate your ATS score and gap analysis
• To deliver AI-powered resume rewrites if you purchase them
• To send you your report and any follow-up communications you opt into
• To improve our AI models and scoring accuracy (using anonymized, aggregated data only)
• To monitor service performance and prevent abuse

4. Data Storage and Security

Your resume data is stored in Supabase (hosted in the Asia-South-1 region on AWS). We use Row Level Security (RLS) to ensure your data is accessible only to you. Data is encrypted at rest and in transit (TLS 1.2+).

We retain your scan data for 90 days to allow you to revisit your results. You may request deletion at any time by contacting us at privacy@scoremyresume.co.

5. AI Processing

Your resume and job description are sent to Anthropic's Claude API for AI processing. Anthropic does not use API inputs to train their models by default. Refer to Anthropic's Privacy Policy for details.

We do not sell your resume data to third parties or use it to train our own models without explicit consent.

6. Your Rights

• Access: You can request a copy of your data at any time
• Deletion: You can request deletion of your resume data and account
• Correction: You can request correction of inaccurate personal data
• Opt-out: You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies for session management and anonymous usage analytics. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though this may affect service functionality.
